Item 3 · In 2021, the European Commission opened a cartel investigation into the wood pulp sector in Europe to investigate if there was an infringement of European Union competition law. In October 2021, the Commission conducted inspections of major European pulp producers including our German operations. We are cooperating with the investigation. As the matter is currently in the investigation stage, we cannot predict the timing of the same and what further actions, if any, the European Commission may pursue or what the outcome of any such actions may be. We are also subject to routine litigation incidental to our business. We do not believe that the outcome of such litigation will have a material adverse effect on our business or financial condition.
