Help — the terminal user guide

Everything here is also available anywhere in the terminal — click the ? Help button in the corner (or type HELP) and the guide opens in a floating window on the section for the page you’re on.

Getting started

The 2-minute tour: the command line runs everything.

SPZCO works like a trading terminal: just start typing, anywhere. The command line at the top of every page focuses itself — no clicking needed.

The home page (HOME) groups its cards into Markets, Since yesterday, Diagnostics, Your workspace and Macro — live quotes on top and “Since yesterday’s close” right after the Markets cards.

  1. Type a ticker (AAPL) or a company name and press — the security loads on its Overview tab and stays “loaded” (its symbol sits in the command line) while you move between tabs.
  2. With a security loaded, punch a tab mnemonic: FA Financials, FV Fair Value, OWN Ownership… or combine both in one command: MSFT FA loads Microsoft straight into its financial statements.
  3. Type a page mnemonic from anywhere: SCR Screener, PORT Portfolio, PRTM Portfolio Management, MGR Managers, IDEA Best Ideas. The full list is in Command line & mnemonics in the sidebar.
  4. Press ⌘K (Ctrl-K) for the command palette — fuzzy search across every page, function, and security, with your recent jumps on top.

The security workspace

Every loaded security has a tab strip: Overview (DES), Chart (GP), Financials (FA), Strength (FS), Fair Value (FV), Relative Value (RV), Earnings (EARN), Ratings (ANR), Events (EVTS), Ownership (OWN), Short Interest (SI), Risk (RSK) — plus Exposures (EXPO) when the name is a book (a $PORT portfolio or a 13F-filing issuer). Tabs are clickable, and every tab is also a typeable mnemonic.

House rules for the numbers

When a figure can’t be computed honestly from filings or prices it shows a dash (), never an estimate. Every derivation is documented on the Methodology page (MET).

💡 Star any security (the ☆ next to its name) to add it to your Watchlist.
