The company claims the largest manufacturer and marketer position in the North American water heater market and distributes primarily through approximately 800 independent wholesale plumbing distributors under the A. O. Smith, State, and Lochinvar brands, as well as through retail chains — including a long-standing exclusive relationship with Lowe's — and MRO channels.
