The J.M. Smucker Company manufactures and markets branded food and beverage products through five reportable segments: U.S. Retail Coffee, U.S. Retail Frozen Handheld and Spreads, U.S. Retail Pet Foods, Sweet Baked Snacks, and Away From Home. Principal products include coffee, frozen handheld products, sweet baked goods, pet snacks, peanut butter, cat food, fruit spreads, toppings and syrups, and baking mixes. Products are sold primarily through retail outlets in North America, with international sales principally in Canada representing approximately 4% of consolidated net sales.
Established in 1897 and incorporated in Ohio, Smucker completed the acquisition of Hostess Brands in November 2023, adding brands including Twinkies, Donettes, HoHos, and CupCakes. Subsequent divestitures included the Canada condiment business in January 2024, the Voortman cookie business in December 2024, and certain Sweet Baked Snacks value brands sold to JTM Foods in March 2025.
