Martin Marietta Materials is a leading natural resource-based building materials company supplying aggregates—crushed stone, sand, and gravel—through approximately 400 quarries, mines, and distribution yards across 28 states, Canada, and the Bahamas. The company also provides cement, ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and paving services in targeted markets. Its Specialties business produces high-purity magnesia-based products and dolomitic lime for environmental, industrial, agricultural, and steel industry applications. Aggregates generated 88% of total reportable segment gross profit in 2025. The company has actively managed its portfolio, acquiring Blue Water Industries' southeast aggregates operations for $2.05 billion and divesting its South Texas cement business to CRH for $2.1 billion, both in 2024. Martin Marietta has completed more than 100 acquisitions since its 1994 initial public offering.
